INSURANCE/REINSURANCE OFFICER, BERMUDA

This position involves responsibility for the administration of international captive insurance and reinsurance programs for some of the world’s largest corporations.

Duties include:
Advising clients on insurance/reinsurance matters.
Preparing and reviewing insurance and reinsurance binders, policies and related documentation.
Administering of insurance and reinsurance claims. This will include liaising with loss adjusters and advising on commutation.

Additional responsibilities will include:
Assist with the underwriting of a proportional Treaty program for property, marine and some aviation lines. Sign off required by client.
Participation at Monte Carlo and Baden Baden conferences.
Maintain and develop contacts to seek risks for our clients underwriting consideration.

The successful applicant will be a self-motivated individual with a highly professional career approach and will possess the ability to prepare and deliver written and oral presentations on industry products and concepts to senior executives of major corporations. Understanding of general accounting principles would be an asset. Preference will be given to applicants with previous captive experience.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in the insurance/reinsurance industry and be the holder of either an ACII or CPCU or a university degree in risk and insurance accompanied by an MBA or equivalent qualification in international business.
